Carson Wentz will play his first postseason game on Sunday in Philadelphia against the Seattle Seahawks. Wentz, 27, is in his fourth season and is still—at least somewhat—trying to get out of the shadow of Nick Foles, who led Philly to its first Super Bowl just two seasons ago.

Former Eagles defensive end Chris Long joined the 94WIP Morning Show on Thursday to discuss Wentz and the incredible season he's had.
"I'm just calling it out how I see it. I love Nick, I love Carson. Everybody is making it an either or thing. I don't think it has to be that," Long said on Thursday.
"How about like, we've just been a really lucky place to have both of those quarterbacks. Both had an integral part in bringing that Super Bowl trophy home because we don't have home field without Carson and if we don't have home field we don't win that Super Bowl. So, terrific guys, terrific leaders. They lead in their owns ways, but this is about Carson and Carson certainly has to live up to everything Nick did and that's a lot of pressure, but if this is his down year, that's a pretty good floor."
Wentz finished the 2019 season with 4,039 yards (9th), 27 touchdowns (t-5th), and just 7 interceptions despite losing his top three wide receivers to injury. His QBR of 60.8 was 11th best in the NFL and his QB rating of 93.1 was 13th best.
"I judge quarterbacks on their ceilings and he showed us what he ceiling was in '17, and maybe it wasn't?" Long said about Wentz.
"That's how talented he is. Maybe he can get even better. 4,000 yards (passing), not a single receiver over 500 yards (receiving). Very impressive. He's throwing to Greg Ward, he's throwing to (Josh) Perkins, you got Boston Scott scoring three touchdowns. The guy had some rough spots this year. I thought he could do a little bit better with processing things and trying not to make the big play all of the time, but I'm nitpicking. It's realistic that when you don't have this talent around and this attrition with injuries you're going to have some down games and he's doing more with than less in the league than almost anybody."
Chris Long was also a guest on Howard Eskin's podcast. You can listen to the episode below.
