Schilling confirms he wants to interview for Phillies manager

Today, MLB Hall of Fame hopeful and former pitcher for the Phillies, Curt Schilling, joined Dom Giordano on 1210 WPHT and addressed the rumors about him being interested in the Phillies vacant managerial position, saying that if anything he’d like to interview for either that position or a pitching coach position to get a feel for the hiring process. 

“I’m very interested in interviewing,” Schilling said on 1210 WPHT. “I know that sounds kind of weird. I just want to go through the process, more than anything to understand what it entails, what it means, and what's involved. But, I have interest. It’s an enormous commitment. It’s so much different than playing, so much harder from a family perspective. When you’re managing, you’re managing for 25. When you’re playing, you’re preparing for one.”
