"Howie talked to Doug about it, I guess Doug talked to Mack," Jackson said. "I had to go in and talk to Greg the equipment guy. So me and Mack kinda hollered about it a little bit. And was like, 'You know man I respect you. I appreciate you holding down the number, but I'm like, this is something I don't feel like I have to pay for. I put a lot into that number 10 jersey.'
"But nah, we definitely worked something out. I'm gonna look out and do a little something for him."
"Fletcher Cox was messing with me, 'You're gonna have to pay a lot of money to get that jersey back.' I'm like, 'Come on, man. I respect the young guy, but it's a different thing coming back in town man.'"
Jackson, 32, also touched on why he was so happy to be back in Philly. Jackson said he got "chills" when walking back into the NovaCare Complex and explained why, after playing for Tampa Bay and Washington, there's nothing like Philadelphia.
DeSean Jackson: "I honestly think Philadelphia is one of a kind. It doesn't really get much better. The atmosphere is a little bit different when you're in Philadelphia." --
