Doug Pederson admits Eagles will look at WR help

Doug Pederson was pretty open about the production, or lack thereof, from the Eagles' wide receivers.

When asked if the Eagles will look to make any additions at the position, Pederson did not hold back with the bye week coming up this week.

"At this point, something we'll take a look at," Pederson said. "We gotta take a look at it, obviously. It's real. We're at sort of the halftime point, a little over a game of the halfway point of our season and we've got time this week to make these decisions. We'll take a look at it, but nothing right now."

Specifically, Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor have both been struggling this season. Jeffery and Nelly have 34 and 32 catches, respectively, both totaling less than 400 receiving yards. Jeffery has just two 100 yard receiving games since joining the Eagles for the 2017 season.

"I think overall they've been good (this season), but I would say they haven't been great," Pederson admitted. "I think they would echo that. Alshon, yesterday, had some opportunity and had chances and I believe he would own up to that, to make some of the catches that he missed yesterday. He's a professional about it and Nelly the same way. We've just got to continue to work with these guys. Every week is a new week. Every week is a new set of challenges and as we put game plans together, we do think about these guys and putting them in a position. And look, sometimes you get in a game, and I'm the one calling the plays, and sometimes the game steers in a different direction than what you think during the week. But I think overall, these guys have been in a position to help and help us win, and I've got a lot of confidence in these guys going forward."
