For the Eagles, it's a big year, as QB Carson Wentz enters his fifth NFL season at age 27 with new second-round pick Jalen Hurts as his dynamic backup.
Expectations for the Eagles will be high, as usual, with them neck-and-neck with the Dallas Cowboys as the favorites to win the NFC East. While the Eagles won the division at 9-7 last season, no team has repeated as NFC East champs since Philly did it in 2002 and 2003.
Over the last seven years, the Eagles and Cowboys have three division titles a piece, while Washington snagged one in 2015. The Giants haven't won the division since 2011.
94WIP's Ike Reese tweeted this before the schedule was even released.
I have the #Eagles at 10-6(could also jump to 12-4 before kickoff vs Washington) and NFC East Champs without looking at the schedule. #FlyEaglesFly -- pic.twitter.com/MD1OhsGEuk
