Doug Pederson calls Alshon Jeffery 'day to day'

Doug Pederson told reporters that Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is "still sore" and "day to day," after suffering an ankle injury in the team's win over the Bears in Week 9.

Jeffery, 29, has not looked like himself this season. Jeffery has just 353 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 34 catches in eight games. His 6.4 yards per target and 10.4 yards per receptions are both career lows.

Nevertheless, losing Jeffery for Sunday's game against the Patriots would be a major blow to the Eagles' offense, which is already suffering from a lack of playmakers with DeSean Jackson now on IR.

The 6'3" WR signed a four-year extension worth $52 million with $27 million guaranteed in December of 2017 after signing with Philadelphia as a free-agent in March of 2017. Jeffery was a key contributor to the Eagles' Super Bowl LII victory and will forever be remembered for that.
