Alshon Jeffery's reputation has taken a hit of the last two seasons in Philadelphia, as the Eagles wide receiver has battled injuries and reportedly had (or still has) issues with Carson Wentz.
Of course, Jackson could be talking about himself, Jeffery, or both.
The Eagles' issues at wide receiver not only exist because of an aging, often injured, and expensive Jeffery, but also because Jackson possesses a lot of the same issues. Jackson, 33, missed all but three games last season with a core muscle injury.
Jeffery, 30, has been plagued by injuries over his last couple of seasons missing nine of the 32 games. Jeffery has not recorded over 65 catches or 850 yards in a season since 2014. And while the Eagles are reportedly trying to trade Jeffery, he won't be easy to move as he has a 2020 cap hit of over $15 million and in 2021 that number goes up to $18.5 million, plus a base salary of $12.75 million.
The Eagles have the No. 21 overall pick in round one of Thursday's NFL Draft, where many analysts have them selecting a wide receiver in a wide receiver heavy draft.
