"It is our shared responsibility to to address the pain and combat systemic racism," Lurie said in the statement. There is so much we can all do to improve our unequal system of justice, our schools and our communities."
Lurie's statement comes on what is being called "Blackout Tuesday" on social media, where many accounts have decided to go dark to support racial equality, as the country continues to deal with protests following last week's murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Many Philadelphia athletes and Eagles players have taken to social media to voice their opinions, most recently Eagles center Jason Kelce, Sixers point guard Ben Simmons, and Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper.

Let me be clear. I will ALWAYS fight for equality and unity. If you call yourself a fan of me but do not agree with EQUALITY and UNITY for everyone then I don't want or need you in my corner.
