Get ready — Eagles’ training camp is right around the corner.

The Eagles will begin their 2019 training camp on July 24th, with their first practice on the 25th and a new spin on their open practice for fans, according to a source. The start of training camp kicks off what is a huge year for the team, one that begins with Super Bowl expectations.

As always, the team will be hosting a practice open to the fans at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, August 4th at 7pm. This year the event will be used to raise money for the Eagles Autism Challenge. Tickets for the practice will be $10, with 100% of the money raised going to the charity. Parking for the practice is free.

The team’s first preseason game will be on August 8th against the Tennessee Titans at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles getting their charitable efforts surrounding autism involved in training camp isn’t surprising. The team has been involved in autism research for years, something that is very personal to owner Jeffrey Lurie. The Eagles have held a bike race the last two seasons to raise money, totaling over $6 million in donations.

In addition to raising money during training camp, the Eagles will be building a sensory room in Lincoln Financial Field for the upcoming season, a quiet place that anyone with autism can go watch the game if the noise becomes too loud. It is expected that the room will be available for any event at Lincoln Financial Field, not just Eagles’ games.

This year’s training camp should be one of the more interesting ones in recent memory. With quarterback Carson Wentz fully healthy, and signed to a record-setting NFL contract, both he and the Eagles enter this season with massive pressure on them. Coming off of a season-ending back injury, Wentz is looking to prove he can not only stay healthy, but play consistently at the level he did in 2017. The team’s roster is considered one of the best in the NFL, meaning a second-round exit in the playoffs likely won’t leave fans satisfied.

In addition to Wentz, there are plenty of questions to be answered during training camp, including who will be starting at cornerback and who will make the team at running back.
