The 2019-20 Philadelphia Flyers' schedule is out.
The Flyers will open the season on Friday, October 4th against the Blackhawks in the Czech Republic before hosting the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday, October 9 in the home opener.
Some highlights, other than the aforementioned season opener in Prague, include:
- Annual Black Friday contest on Friday, November 29th vs. Detroit at 4pm.
- A pre-Thanksgiving afternoon affair against Calgary on Saturday, November 23rd
- Hosting the Rangers for the first time on Monday, December 23rd at 7pm
- Hosting the Penguins for the first time on Tuesday, January 21st

The Flyers are expected to be improved under new general manager Chuck Fletcher, who took over for Ron Hextall on December 3rd, 2018. Fletcher has been busy this offseason trading for Tyler Pitlick, re-signing Travis Sanheim, trading away Radko Gudas, acquiring Justin Braun, acquiring and re-signing Kevin Hayes, and buying out Andrew MacDonald.
The Flyers and their fan base is looking for 20-year-old, second-year goalie Carter Hart to make a big impression on the franchise.
