Not Joel Embiid, not Ben Simmons, not Bryce Harper, not J.T. Realmuto, not Carson Wentz. The new top athlete in the city of Philadelpia sports is Flyers goalie Carter Hart.

At least, that is the opinion of 94WIP Midday Show host Joe DeCamara, who made the point on Thursday, one day after the Flyers' 2-1 win over the Canadiens in Game 1 of their first-round series.

"That dude is the truth," DeCamara said of Hart, who turned just 22 years old today.

"Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Carson Wentz, J.T. Realmuto, Bryce Harper. They all, all of them, take a back seat in Philadelphia sports to Carter Hart. He is number one. He is number in Philadelphia sports. Spectacular job by him last night."

"He was awesome. He really, I believe, gives us all hope that the Flyers can really do this this year," DeCamara said. "When I say this, I mean the whole shebang. They can win the Cup. One down, 15 to go."

Amazingly, Hart is on a three-year, $2.775 million contract. His average annual salary is just $925,000, considerably less the aforementioned other sports stars in Philly.
