Flyers, Sixers and Phillies welcome back fans to stadiums

After the city of Philadelphia eased coronavirus restrictions, the Flyers and Sixers announced they will welcome back fans to the Wells Fargo Center.

The Phillies will also have fans at Citizens Bank Park this season.

On Tuesday, Philadelphia and the state of Pennsylvania lifted restrictions to allow 15% capacity at indoor sporting events. That means that the Flyers and Sixers will host 3,100 fans starting on Sunday, March 7. The Sixers will welcome back fans on March 14. Fans will be required to wear a mask at all times, complete a health assessment questionnaire, and follow social distancing rules in order to attend games.

The Phillies, who are currently playing in Clearwater in front of fans, are allowed to open the ballpark at 20% capacity, which allows approximately 8,000 fans per game.

The Phillies, Sixers and Flyers sent proposals last month to the city about allowing fans back which came to fruition once the state set new guidelines.
