The Flyers have traded defenseman Radko Gudas to the Capitals for defenseman Matt Niskanen, the teams announced on Friday.
The Flyers retained 30-percent of Gudas' $3.35 million 2019-20 cap hit. Niskanen is signed for two more seasons at a $5.75 million cap hit.
Niskanen, 32, scored eight goals and had 25 points in 80 games last season. He was a minus-3.
Gudas, 29, scored four goals and 20 points in 77 games with the Flyers. Gudas spent the past four seasons with the Flyers.
