G.O.A.T. of Broad Street: No. 8, 7 and 6

Welcome to 94WIP's G.O.A.T. of Broad Street, where we will finally determine who the greatest athlete in Philadelphia sports history is! Remember, in order to qualify, the athlete must have played in Philadelphia in the last 50 years (1970). We are counting down the top 20 Philadelphia athletes over the last 50 years beginning on Monday, June 15th and ending on Thursday, June 25th. The rankings were determined based on votes from our fans and hosts.

You can view the full running list at 94WIP.com/goat.

G.O.A.T. of Broad Street is brought to you by A Better Financial Plan.

6. Bobby Clarke

Stats: 1210 points (leads franchise), 852 assists (leads franchise), 3x 100+ points in a season,

Awards: 3x Hart Memorial Trophy, 2x, Stanley Cup Champion, 9x All-Star, Hall of Fame, No. 16 retired by Flyers

Analysis: The captain of captains ranks as the highest Flyer on the G.O.A.T of Broad Street list after an impeccable career with the black and orange. "If Bobby Clarke were a sewer digger in Flin Flon," said head-coach Fred Shero, "he'd be the best sewer digger and hardest worker." Sew digging aside, Clarke brought two Stanley Cup trophies to Philadelphia and hosted the first championship parade the city had seen. Clarke and the Flyers are synonymous entities.
