Rapoport with the latest on Carson Wentz

The rumor mill has churned over the last few days around the Carson Wentz trade speculation, although it seems like things are slowed significantly.

"The situation now is someone needs to move," said NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "I've talked to all parties. I really don't get the sense that anyone is in a particular hurry, so I don't know why it would be this week."

Rapoport joined the Marks & Reese Show on Tuesday to discuss the latest news with Wentz, telling them it has essentially boiled down to two teams:

"I don't get the sense that anyone has made an offer besides [the Bears and Colts]. If there is a third team calling, it's probably just seeing what's what."

Rapoport also shed light on what both sides are looking for in a trade:

"I've seen some of the reports that the Eagles are looking for what the Lions got for Stafford. I don't think that's going to happen. I'm not sure that's actually true either. You could maybe compare the value, but when people talk about the Lions getting two first round picks, it's true and it's not true. They did get two first round picks, but they are both in the future. The way these picks are valued, a first rounder next year is the same as a second rounder this year. If you want to compare the packages, basically the Lions got a second rounder and a third rounder. That's how you do the pick comparison.

"Should the Eagles want something like that? Yeah, they probably should. I just don't think the Eagles are asking for two first-rounders next year. There is no way they would do that. As far as what the other teams would give up, I'd imagine the Eagles would like a real first rounder to be involved… I'm sure it's going to be around there, maybe a second rounder and a little more."

Rapoport also discusses whether the quarterback trade market will affect Wentz's value and plays out the hypothetical of how Carson Wentz could remain an Eagle.
