Ike Reese opened up today's Marks & Reese Show upset with the latest G.O.A.T. of Broad Street rankings, where fans and hosts are ranking the top Philadelphia athletes of the last 50 years.
Every day this week, 94WIP.com is releasing three names per day. Next week, 94WIP.com will be releasing the top five, one per day.
On Tuesday, the three names released were Moses Malone (17), Randall Cunningham (16), and Jimmy Rollins (15).
"So at 15, a guy who has a championship, his resume is impeccable, he's the all-time hits leader in franchise history… (Jimmy Rollins) at 15 I don't get," Reese said of Rollins' ranking. "He should be no lower than 10. He's a top 10 guy."
Reese also wasn't happy that Eagles Hall Of Fame wide receiver Harold Carmichael was left off of the list completely.
"You got a guy like Jimmy Rollins, who I think is the face of the best era of Phillies baseball," Reese said. "To me he was the engine of that run. He was here longer than the other guys, he was here through the tough times the whole way through till they became World Series champs and two-time pennant champions. And he won an MVP! He was the best player in the National League in 2007!
"Today's list, coupled with Harold Carmichael not on the list… I'm not going to say I'm furious, I'm not going to go that far, but quite frankly I think this list is a sham at this point."
Rhea Hughes also agreed with Reese earlier this morning, saying that Rollins not being in the top is a "disgrace."

Is Randall Cunningham a top 20 athlete in Philly sports over the last 50 years?
— Jon Marks & Ike Reese on 94WIP (@MarksReeseWIP) June 16, 2020"Honestly Ike, Randall should not be on the list," Mark said. "Just being totally honest."
