July 9, 2019 The tweet got almost 800 replies, 19 retweets, and 215 likes. Not the best ratio, just ask Art of the Take. The tweet was also quote tweeted by Barstool's PFTCommenter and turned into a blog post where Seltzer got destroyed.
The Barstool blog pointed out that Mets 24-year-old rookie Pete Alonso, who won the derby, makes just $555,000 and he just got a $1 million bonus for winning the derby. So he has every right to be overly excited.
Seltzer wasn't having any of it.
