Jimmy Rollins joined the 94WIP Marks & Reese show this week and was asked to give advice to a potential star player coming to Philadelphia, say like a Bryce Harper or Manny Machado.
"Anybody that comes there, understanding you're that not bigger than the city, that you're not gonna be bigger than the fans," Rollins said. "That, when you go there, you're almost kind of like renting the uniform. You're representing that city, but you don't own that uniform, that belongs to the people, to the people of Philadelphia. And they will let you know if you are one of them or not."
On Friday, Angelo Cataldi heard it for the first time.
"That is one of the greatest comments ever made about this city if you're an athlete," Cataldi said.
The Phillies are still in pursuit of Harper and Machado, as we enter February.

Rollins, who was hired by the Phils as a special advisor this week, also ranked his favorite moments as a Phillie and talked about the current team.
