DeCamara: 'Great chance Eagles do not go WR in round 1"

All anyone can talk about when it comes to the upcoming NFL Draft for the Eagles, is which wide receiver will they take in round one.

However, 94WIP's Joe DeCamara, says hold your horses. There's a strong chance Howie Roseman does not take a WR with the 21st overall selection.

"It's not to say I'm not worried about the wide receiver position," DeCamara explained in a video with Eliot Shorr-Parks. "It's a huge area of need and it's a huge issue with the team. Short term and long term, they've got to get some players. And I think there's a real chance they get a receiver in the first-round.

"But I think the narrative that's been out there for weeks, on my show, on our station, all across town that like it's the only position for the first round is ludicrous. I mean, the reality is, there's a great chance that the Eagles will not draft a receiver in the first round. History tell us it's something that they rarely do."

DeCamara brought up 2014 when Roseman and the Eagles reached for OLB/DE and future bust Marcus Smith. In fact, over the last 10 drafts dating back to 2010, Roseman's first pick has been on the offensive or defensive line eight times.

But is DeCamara OK with the current Eagles' WR group of DeSean Jackson, Alshon Jeffery, Greg Ward, and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside?

"Well, I'm not OK with it," DeCamara said. "I absolutely expect they'll get a receiver at least in the first three rounds. I think there's a good chance they get two receivers in this draft. And they need to get receivers. My main point is, the town has focused too much on wide receiver in the first round."
