Is Joel Embiid engaged?

While most NBA fan bases are sifting through free-agency rumors from Woj and Shams, Sixers Twitter is investating a more important issue on Thursday: Is Joel Embiid engaged?

Embiid posted to his Instagram story for the first time in awhile. He appears to be on vacation in Beijing with his girlfriend (fiance?) Anne De Paula, who seems to be wearing, what looks like, an engagement ring.

You would think Embiid and De Paula would have announced their engagement, but maybe this is their clever way of letting it out first? It's very possible they're not engaged, but the internet is going to do what the internet does, so here we are.

Embiid is not engaged. 

I am told that Joel Embiid is not engaged to Anne De Paula and she’s had the ring for a while. Fun day of internet talk at least. They are a lovely couple and I wish them the best.

As for Ben Simmons, he's been working out with renowned NBA trainer Chris Johnson.
