Scandrick trashes the Eagles, Jenkins responds

Orlando Scandrick went IN on the Eagles.

Scandrick joined Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe on FS1's Undisputed on Friday morning saying, "The problem in Philadelphia is much, much deeper than me. I think they're having a tough time dealing with success."

Scandrick, a 32-year-old corner, was originally signed by Philadelphia in July, but was released during final roster cuts. The Eagles re-signed Scandrick in September after some injuries to players in the secondary and Scandrick recorded two strip sacks and a 44-yard touchdown in the Eagles' Week 5 win over the Jets. With the Eagles getting healthier, Scandrick was then released again just four days ago.

Of his release, Scandrick called it, "Really, really scapegoat-ish."

When asked about the defense, Scandrick called some players selfish and specifically targeted Malcolm Jenkins:

"When you wear the C on your jersey, it's your job to bring guys along. It's your job to sometimes you need to take the hard down, you need to take the hard job, and you need to bring the thing together. I don't know if that's the case. You hold out for a contract, you come in, you're not really making any plays—like splash plays. Then you go down to Minnesota and you're somehow supposed to be in the half of the field and you end up playing a crosser. That's not a rookie we're talking about here. That's a two-time Super Bowl champ."

Update: 1pm

Jenkins responded: "I could give two (expletive) about people who aren't here. For us to move on as a team, we can't have mother(expletive) like that in the room."

Some other quotes from Scandrick:

On the anonymous source: ""I love Alshon (Jeffery) and I'm gonna take him from what he said, that it didn't come from him. But it came from somewhere. Once again, it came from somewhere. That locker room is different. I would tell guys when I came there, I still feel like they're living on that Super Bowl high."

On Howie Roseman: "I don't believe anything Howie says. Howie is one of the people if he told me it was raining outside I'd probably get some shorts just incase. He put it to me as he wanted to play some younger players, and they are a mess on defense, they need to get some defensive linemen so we'll see how that works for them this weekend in Buffalo."

On Nick Foles: "Nick Foles is not walking through that door. At all. Not at all. Are there some people in that locker room that still would probably want Nick? Yeah. But that is not a knock against Carson. That is just everything that Nick has achieved. But he isn't walking into that locker room, and clearly the organization has shown everybody — the fanbase, the players, the coaches — they are all in on Carson. It is his team. So, somewhere in the happy medium, they are going to have to get over it."

On Carson Wentz's leadership: "I love Carson, I thought he was a great guy, I thought he was stand up. I thought he was…I am going to compare him to (Dak Prescott). I spent a lot of time with both of them. Dak — natural born, first one in the building, last one out, doing extra things. Carson? If you go back to earlier in the season, they dropped a few passes — now they want to stay after practice and catch some extra passes. That is adversity right? How do you handle success — when you rip off a few games, is everyone getting in at 7:15 and leaving at 6:14? I think they are dealing with that right now. That success is really, really hurting them right now."
