The Phillies won't be adding Craig Kimbrel. The 31-year-old all-star closer is signing a three-year deal worth, $43 million with the Chicago Cubs, according to multiple reports.

Kimbrel will reportedly earn $10 million this season and $16 million in 2020 and 2021.
The Phillies were one of the teams linked to Kimbrel for awhile now and just yesterday, MLB.com's Jon Morosi wrote, "The Phillies could allocate $10 million or more to Kimbrel over the rest of the season and still remain comfortably under the luxury tax threshold of $206 million."
On April 15th, 94WIP's Tim Kelly wrote Kimbrel would make sense for the Phillies at a price of $50 million over three years.
Even if Kimbrel's postseason left a bad taste in your mouth, he converted on 42 of 47 save attempts in 2018. He posted a 2.74 ERA and 3.13 FIP in 63 games.
To make matters worse for the Phils, relief pitcher Seranthony Dominguez was removed from Wednesday's 7-5 win in the eighth inning after three batters with an elbow injury.
