Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher David Robertson has suffered a setback and will need surgery to repair a flexor tendon ending his season.

— Scott Lauber (@ScottLauber) July 31, 2019Robertson, 34, signed a two-year, $23 million contract with the Phillies in January. The contract includes a third-year $12 million club option and $2 million buyout.
Robertson appeared in just seven games for the Phillies this season before getting hurt.
Roberston addressed the media on Wednesday.
