Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

We are just over 24 hours away from the Major League Baseball trade deadline and many fans are hoping the Phillies will make necessary upgrades to secure a postseason berth.

The pressure is on general manager Matt Klentak, who began the week by acquiring left-handed starter Jason Vargas from the Mets on Monday

Here are some of the other rumors surrounding the Phils:

Colomé, 30, is 3-1 with a 2.27 ERA and 21 saves in 22 opportunities. He's allowed 19 hits, 10 ER, 4 HR, 12 BB, and struck out 31 in 39.2 innings.

2. Phillies linked to outfielder Yasiel Puig

UPDATE: Puig is reportedly headed to the Indians

Philadelphia could certainly look at add Puig and move utility man Scott Kingery to third base.

Puig, 28, is hitting .257/.306/.484 with 22 homers and 59 RBIs in 98 games this season.

3. Phillies linked to third baseman Todd Frazier

Frazier, 33, is hitting .244/.328/.436 with 13 home runs in 266 at-bats.

The Phillies are currently 55-50, six games back of the Atlanta Braves in the NL East and just one game back of the Cubs and Cardinals for the NL's second wild card spot.
