The Phillies are pursuing Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius in free agency, according to MLB Network's Jon Morosi.

Morosi reports the plan would be for the Phils to move Jean Segura to a different position and play Gregorius at shortstop.

Gregorius, 29, spent the last five seasons in New York and played for new Phillies manager Joe Girardi from 2015-2017.
Gregorius is a career .264 hitter averaging 21 homers and 79 RBIs over his eight year career.
