Report: MLB teams expect Phillies to acquire J.T. Realmuto

If the Phillies want Marlins all-star catcher J.T. Realmuto, they'll have to include their top prospect Sixto Sanchez in a deal, according to Marlins MLB.com reporter Joe Frisaro.

On Tuesday, Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports reported there "could be some traction" sorrounding J.T. Realmuto to the Phillies.

Realmuto, 27, was named to his first all-star game last season, hitting .277/.340/.484 with 21 homers and 74 RBIs in 125 games with the Marlins. 

Realmuto has spent all four-plus seasons of his MLB career in Miami. 

Sanchez, 20, is the Phillies' top pitching prospect and MLB Pipeline's No. 7 RHP prospect. He was 4-3 with a 2.51 ERA in Single-A Clearwater last season.

Two of the rival teams previously involved in trade talks with the #Marlins for catcher J.T. Realmuto now expect the #Phillies to land him. Catcher Jorge Alfaro will definitely be in the deal, and possibly Sixto Sanchez, too.

Have now heard from 2 sources that Realmuto to #Phillies is down to physical reviews and 3d piece beyond Alfaro/Sanchez. But I have NOT been told anything is final.
