The Major League Baseball trade deadline is today, Wednesday, July 31st at 4pm and many fans are hoping the Phillies will make necessary upgrades to secure a postseason berth. The Phillies are currently 56-50, six games back of the Atlanta Braves in the NL East and tied with Cubs for the NL's second wild card spot.
The pressure is on general manager Matt Klentak, who began the week by acquiring left-handed starter Jason Vargas from the Mets on Monday.
