Johnson, 27, spent his first five NBA seasons with the Miami Heat before being traded to the Suns in February of 2019. The combo guard is the final year of his deal, currently owed $7 million of his $19.25 million contract.
For his career, Johnson averages 11.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 43.3 FG% / 36.4 3P% / 77.1 FT%.
While the Sixers do have backup guards like Shake Milton, Raul Neto, and now Alec Burks, they do have some guard depth on their bench. However, the team can still use more perimeter playmakers who can ball handle, create, and shoot, and that's exactly what Johnson would bring.
