The Philadelphia 76ers are interested in Oklahoma City Thunder wing player Danilo Gallinari, according to The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor.
Gallinari, 31, is averaging 19.0 points and 5.8 rebounds, shooting 43.3 FG% / 40.8 3P% / 90.6 FT% this season. The elite shooter is a career 37.9 3P% on 5.2 attempts per game. This season, Gallinari is averaging a career-high 7.5 three's per game.
This issue for the Sixers is Gallinari's $22.6 million 2019-20 salary figure. To make the cap situation work they'd likely have to trade Al Horford, who is making $28 million in 2019-20 and is under contract through 2022-23. The Thunder, most likely, wouldn't have much use for the 33-year-old forward.
Gallinari is set to become an unrestricted free-agent this offseason.
According to O'Connor, the Mavericks and multiple playoff teams are also interested in Gallinari. It seems like a long shot for the Sixers.
