The Philadelphia 76ers are bringing back Furkan Korkmaz on a two-year deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. Derek Bodner reports Korkmaz's deal is a two-year minimum deal and the first year is guaranteed. The second year becomes guaranteed if he's on the roster by July 10th, 2020.
The 6'7", 22-year-old (today is his birthday!) Turkish wing was the Sixers' 26th overall pick in 2016. In his first two NBA seasons, Korkmaz averaged 4.9 points in 12.2 minutes per game. However, last season Korkmaz saw a little bit more playing time and shot a respectable 32.6-percent on 3.0 three's per game. He gives the Sixers some shooting depth deep off of the bench, with minimal upside.
Korkmaz was likely a backup plan to Kyle Korver, who reportedly chose the Milwaukee Bucks over the Sixers, as Philadelphia was hoping to add another shooter to the roster.
