The Philadelphia 76ers are listed as the fifth most likely team to acquire Damian Lillard, if he is fact traded, according to SportsBetting.ag.
Here are the odds:
Los Angeles Clippers +275
New York Knicks +250
Miami Heat +300
Los Angeles Lakers +350
Philadelphia 76ers +400
Boston Celtics +450
Following Portland's first-round playoff exit, there are rumblings that a Lillard trade could happen in the near future.
"You got a lot of teams, about six or seven different teams, who believe they can get their hands on him, they think they've got a shot," Stephen A. Smith said Friday on ESPN.
Lillard, a six-time all-star, will be turning 31 years old on July 15th. He will be owed $176.2 million over the next four seasons, including $39.3 million in 2021-22.
Obviously, Portland will want a haul in return for Lillard and all eyes will turn to Ben Simmons, who was the reported big chip in a potential Sixers-Rockets trade for James Harden. Ultimately, Daryl Morey and the 76ers kept Simmons and Harden was dealt to the Brooklyn Nets, but now there will likely be conversations about Simmons for Lillard this offseason.
