One of Philadelphia's biggest Eastern Conference rivals have some additional shooting for the bench, locking up a player who is feeling pretty good about himself, scoring 100 points in his past two G-league games.
Nik Stauskas, who managed to combined for the century mark over his last two games with G-League Grand Rapids, has agreed to a two-year deal with the Celtics, according to ESPN.com.
The eighth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, the sharp-shooting Stauskas has played for six teams over a seven-year career including the Sixers from 2015-2017, shooting a combined 35.4 percent from three-point range.
In 14 G-League games this season, the former University of Michigan product was averaging 26 points per game, taking just more than eight three-pointers a contest.
Other than playing in two games with the Miami Heat this season, Statuskas hasn't played in the NBA since the 2018-19 season.
It is interesting that Stauskas went to the Celtics, as the Sixers seem pretty devoid of bench shooting, as Furkan Korkmaz continues to struggle.
