Howard Eskin says the current Philadelphia 76ers' ownership, led by Josh Harris, is the "worst ownership in the history" of his life.

"The Sixers are the worst ownership in the history of my lifetime," Eskin told Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie on Thursday's 94WIP Morning Show when asked about the James Harden-Daryl Morey saga. "It starts with the owner Josh Harris, who got a game ball at a preseason [Commanders] game. It's a joke. He doesn't have a passion to win, so it starts there. Daryl Morey, I've been saying this for years, is a fraud. He's unreasonable when he asks for things.

"As I said when [Harden] opted in, he will be on the roster the opening game. And the reason is, if he was desirable by other teams, why did he opt in? Why didn't he just stay a free-agent?"

A video surfaced on Monday of Harden calling the Sixers' president a "liar" and saying he would never play for a franchise under Morey again.

It's just yet another stain on the franchise, which has a long list of blunder after blunder since Harris—who is now also the managing partner of the New Jersey Devils, Washington Commanders, Prudential Center, and Crystal Palace (EFL)—led an investment group that purchased the Sixers over a decade ago.

As Eskin pointed out, Harden opted into his $35.6 million player-option with the Sixers in hopes of getting traded this offseason.

Harden, who will turn 34 in 13 days, is coming off of a season where he took a pay cut with the Sixers and had a successful regular season, averaging 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and an NBA best 10.7 assists per game.

However, Harden was streaky in the postseason, as the Sixers were eliminated in the second-round of the playoffs once again.
