Joe Giglio reacted to the firing of Doc Rivers on Tuesday morning.

"I think this is an unjust firing," Giglio said on 94WIP minutes after the news broke that Rivers has been fired by the Philadelphia 76ers. "I don't think Doc Rivers deserved to lose his job for the way James Harden and Joel Embiid played [in Game 7]...I thought this particular season he actually did a good job.

"I think it was an unjust firing," he later continued. "Just on the reality of what they just did, I don't think he deserved to get fired. I think it is because James Harden wants him fired and Daryl Morey does whatever James Harden wants, all of the time."

ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reported on Monday that a source told her that, "It would be hard for me to see James wanting to come back and play for Doc again.”

Giglio opined that this firing likely means 76ers' president of basketball operations Daryl Morey brings back Harden on a significant contract now.

Potential replacements for Rivers include:

Mike Budenholzer, Sam Cassell, Mike D’Antoni, Nick Nurse, Frank Vogel, and Monty Williams.
