The Philadelphia 76ers are "expected" to fire head coach Brett Brown, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Charania reports the franchise remains committed to young all-stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, and they are also likely to retain general manager Elton Brand "has maintained a healthy relationship with ownership." The Sixers have already exercised Brand's 2020-21 season contract.
Charania also lists these four coaches as possible replacements for Brown.
1. Ime Udoka
Udoka, 43, was a Spurs assistant from 2012-2019 and then joined the Sixers in 2019 under Brown.
2. Tyronn Lue
Lue, 43, is a Clippers assistant. Lue was the head coach of the Cavs from 2016-2018, helping them win an NBA Championship in 2018.
3. Jay Wright
We all know Wright very well. Wright, 58, has been the head coach at Villanova since 2001, winning two National Championships in 2016 and 2018 and reaching three Final Fours.
4. Dave Joerger
Joerger, 46, was the head coach of the Sacramento Kings from 2016 to 2019. Previously, he was with the Grizzlies.
