Embiid 'glad' Brett Brown was able to see historic performance and 'product he created'

Amazingly, former Philadelphia 76ers head coach and now San Antonio Spurs assistant Brett Brown was at the Wells Fargo Center to witness Joel Embiid's franchise record-breaking 70-point performance.

"I'm kind of glad I did it in front of him, so he can kind of see the product of you know, what he created," Embiid said after the game on Brown being there.

Brown, 62, was the head coach of the Sixers from 2013-2020, leading Sam Hinkie's now famous "Process" and drafting Embiid with the third overall pick in 2014.

Now, one year after winning the league's Most Valuable Player award, the 29-year-old soon-to-be seven-time All-Star center is putting together one of the greatest regular seasons we have ever seen.

Embiid is averaging a career high 36.1 points, 11.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.9 blocks, and 1.2 steals on 53.9 FG% / 36.3 3FG% / 88.7 FT%.
