Joel Embiid was ranked as the NBA's third best player in a recent top 25 list released by TheRinger.com.

LeBron James and MVP front-runner Nikola Jokic are the only two players ranked ahead of Embiid.

The list was put together by The Ringer's staff of basketball analysts which include Dan Devine, J. Kyle Mann, Rob Mahoney, and 94WIP contributor Kevin O'Connor.

"We know Embiid has entered a rare class because the only options to try to contain him are bad ones," Mahoney wrote of Embiid. "Playing against the Sixers these days just means learning to live with his dominance."

The article also highlighted his 12.7 free throw attempts per 36 minutes, a mark that would break Wilt Chamberlain's 12.6 mark in 1961-62. Embiid is shooting a career-high 85.4% from the line on a career-high 11.0 attempts per game this season.
