Some NBA fans are trying to take Joel Embiid's MVP award away from him and give it to Nikola Jokic.

Jokic has been the best player in this year's NBA Playoffs without a doubt, and on Monday night he led his Nuggets to a 4-0 series sweep over the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.

Jokic, who was named Western Conference Finals MVP, was asked what that award means to him compared to his two regular season MVP awards, and Jokic reiterated that Joel Embiid deserved to win this year's MVP award.

"People are just mean in saying that Embiid shouldn't have won it," Jokic said on Monday night after advancing to the NBA Finals. "I think he should have won it. He was playing, if you watched it, extremely tough basketball through the whole season…He was really amazing in 82 games, or however many games he played."

Jokic recorded his eighth triple-double this postseason on Monday, setting a new NBA record.
