Windhorst: 3 big offseason targets for the Philadelphia 76ers

The 2024 offseason will be the "most important" in Philadelphia 76ers history, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks, as they enter the offseason with around $60 million cap space.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst listed three offseason targets of Daryl Morey and the Sixers: Paul George, Jimmy Butler, and Brandon Ingram.

George, 34, has a $48.78 million player option with the Clippers and wants a max contract, which Windhorst believes Philadelphia is going to offer him.

Butler, who turns 35 in September, has a base salary of $48.79 million in 2024-25 and a $52.4 million player option in 2025-26 with the Heat.

Ingram, 26, has a base salary of $36 million in 2024-25 with the Pelicans and is set to become an unrestricted free-agent after the season.

In the 2024 NBA Draft, Philadelphia currently has their own first-round pick and a second-round pick as well, from either Chicago or New Orleans. The Sixers also have two firsts in 2026, 2028, and 2029.

Of course, the other big name possibility for Philadelphia is 39-year-old LeBron James, who has a $51.4 million player option with the Lakers for the 2024-25 season before becoming an unrestricted free-agent.
