What are you most looking forward to in Philadelphia sports?

Rob Ellis and Devan Kaney, filling in for Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie on a President's Day edition of the 94WIP Morning Show, posed the aforementioned question. While both Ellis and Kaney agree, they're in the minority, going with the Sixers and the hopeful return of Joel Embiid.

"This team, when you watch them, they look pretty good," Kaney said. "Once Embiid, and I do think he will be back—and guys like Nik Batum and even Tobias Harris, who has been in and out, are back and fully healthy and playing with guys who can shoot like Buddy Hield, I think the Sixers are going to be pretty good."

"My pitch is this, I really like the Buddy Hield move," Ellis said. "He's shown you in the very short period of time he's been here, it's something that has really helped this team, it's something they really needed. Having an option like Hield and Maxey, and then if you get Batum back, you get [De'Anthony] Melton back and you get Harris back, it may be the best lineup Embiid has had...But I like the way this sets up. I also think the upside to Embiid's injury is if he gets the knee right, he'll be well rested."

The majority of fans on the 94WIP Morning Show poll question disagreed, going with the 2024 Phillies season with the Eagles' offseason coming in second.

Ellis says if Embiid comes back the Sixers will finally get past the second round this year.

"They will get past the second round...I am telling you right now," Ellis said. "The last thing and I am probably burying the lede, they have a real coach."
