The Philadelphia 76ers have spoken with the Indiana Pacers about a Ben Simmons deal that would send a package which includes Caris LeVert back to Philly, according to SNY's Ian Begley.

Daryl Morey, Elton Brand, Doc Rivers and company are reportedly seeking a multi-time All-Star in return, so LeVert may not be enough, although he is a very talented, young player.

LeVert, 27, has averaged over 18 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 1 steal per game since 2019-20. However, the 6'6" guard has dealt with multiple injuries throughout his career, really preventing him from taking off as an NBA star.

In January of 2021 a small mass was found on LeVert's left kidney, forcing him to undergo surgery to remove the mass, which was successful. A trade from Brooklyn to Indiana may have saved his life.

LeVert is set to make $17.5 million this season and then $18.8 million in 2022-23 before becoming a free-agent.

The Pacers also have some other attractive guards in Victor Oladipo and Malcolm Brogdon, and of course former Sixer T.J. McConnell.

Brogdon, 28, is a player Sixers fans have coveted for years because of his fit with the team. He currently has two years remaining on his deal where he'll make about $22 million each of the next two seasons.

Simmons, 25, is in the second year of a five-year, $177 million contract.
