Report: Sixers trade Al Horford and picks for Danny Green

Daryl Morey has made his first move as Sixers' president of basketball operations.

The 76ers are trading Al Horford, a future first-round pick (a lightly protected 2025 pick), and a second-round pick (34th overall in 2020) to the Thunder for guard Danny Green and Terrance Ferguson, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Sixers signed Horford to a 4 year deal worth $109 million last season, but ultimately the 34-year-old forward/center did not fit well for the Sixers along with Joel Embiid.

Green, 33, is coming off a winning a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers. Green was traded to the Thunder earlier this week.

Green is a career 40-percent three-point shooter on 4.7 attempts per game and will certainly help the Sixers space the floor. Green has one year left on his contract, where he will make just over $15 million in 2020-21 before becoming a free-agent after the season.
