Philadelphia 76ers owner Joshua Harris is a top candidate to purchase the Washington Commanders, according to JP Finley of NBC Sports Washington.
As Finley notes, Harris is a D.C. native and was prepared to pay $5 Billion for the Denver Broncos before deciding to pass and focus on the next NFL opportunity. Harris grew up in Chevy Chase, Maryland and attended high school in Washington D.C.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is also reportedly interested in the Commanders, but that it is becoming unlikely, according to Finley.
Harris, 58, is the principal owner and managing partner of the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils and is a general partner of English Premiere League Club Crystal Palace.
