Al Morganti announced on Thursday's 94WIP Morning Show that he has agreed to a new five-year deal with Audacy's SportsRadio 94WIP.

With his longtime Morning Show co-host Angelo Cataldi set to retire after the Eagles' season and an all new 94WIP Morning Show with Joe DeCamara, Jon Ritchie, James Seltzer, and Rhea Hughes beginning, Morganti will host a Flyers podcast and one weekend shift for 94WIP.

Morganti interview begins around 22:00 mark

"I told you, it's a lifetime deal," Morganti joked on Thursday. "I just said I want to be around when the Flyers win the Cup. I am excited about this. I get to do a lot of Flyers stuff on the podcast and I don't have to get up early."

The 69-year-old Boston native began his career in Philadelphia as a Flyers beat writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer and has been a longtime Flyers analyst ever since.

Morgant recently received the Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award by the Hockey Hall of Fame for his career in journalism.
