While discussing the Eagles' lackluster ugly Week 1 in New England, Joe DeCamara, Jon Ritchie and the 94WIP Morning Show took a look around the league at how some of the other perceived good NFL teams looked poorly in this weekend.
Specifically, DeCamara had a strong take on Josh Allen's disastrous performance on Monday Night Football.
"Guys let me just say...The Jets' season is over. And Josh Allen is the single most overrated player in all of American sports."
After holding a double-digit lead at halftime in last night's game, the Bills opened the door for the Jets with three second half turnovers by Allen. That led to the Jets scoring 13 unanswered points to give New York a three-point lead with less than two minutes remaining in regulation.
Following the loss, Allen felt this year's contest was very similar to last year's affair in the Meadowlands, where Buffalo's turnovers kept the Jets in the game, ultimately allowing them to come away victorious in the end.
"I hurt our team tonight, I cost our team tonight. This feels eerily similar to last year, and I hate that it's the same. I do," said Allen during his postgame comments with the media.
Despite the preparation heading into the week and saying the overall team effort was there, Allen was quick to take blame for Monday night's loss.
"The defense gave us opportunities, they played a heck of a game. It sucks when you feel like you're the reason, and I am the reason we lost tonight," Allen admitted in defeat.
When it came to his four overall turnovers - three interceptions and a fumble lost - Allen says the turnovers were more on him than anything the Jets defense did.
"Make no mistake, they're a heck of a defense, but I made the decisions," he said.
Heading into a Week 2 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders this upcoming Sunday in Orchard Park, Allen says it will be paramount to correct their mistakes quickly.
"We'll try to correct it and have to correct it fast. We've got a short week, and can't let this game turn into two [losses]," he said.
