Jack Fritz gave his three reasons why he felt yesterday was a "great day" for the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday's 94WIP Afternoon Show.
1. Getting Nick Sirianni out of running the offense
"One and the thing that I cared about the most...I did not want to hear anything about an offensive collaboration...You said you want a guy to come in here run the offense, be the play caller and help fix the quarterback. That's getting Nick out of the offense. That is a massive, massive positive for me."
2. Not giving Jalen Hurts whatever he wants, like keeping Brian Johnson
"The second thing is, I feel like they're not making the same mistake with Wentz and they're not giving Jalen whatever he wants."
3. Hiring Vic Fangio as the new defensive coordinator
"And the final thing is, they got Vic Fangio. They got him out of South Beach. I thought yesterday was a great day for the Eagles."
Ike Reese, while not as encouraged as Fritz, did agree that he does not feel as negative as the general public.
"I don't know if I would go great day, but I certainly don't think it was as bad as some people are portraying it was," Reese said. "There were certainly some moments throughout the press conference that some of the answers may have made you cringe a bit, make you scratch your head."
