Seth Joyner on A.J. Brown: 'Can't act that way'

Seth Joyner said A.J. Brown "can't act that way" when asked about Brown's comments after Sunday's Eagles ugly win over the Panthers.

"As a leader on the team, you can't out and act like—you just won the damn football game, man stop it," Joyner said of Brown on Wednesday's 94WIP Midday Show with Hugh Douglas and Joe Giglio. "You can address that with Jalen [Hurts], you can address that with Nick at a different time. Or you can just say, 'Hey, I'm not talking today.' Something. You can't act that way after a win, you can't act that way at all as a leader of that football team if you got that C on your chest. You just can't do that."

Brown issued a one-word response to the media—"passing"—following Sunday's win over the Panthers, when asked what the Eagles need to fix. Brown had just four targets in a game where Hurts threw for just 108 yards.

Brandon Graham's comments on Monday's 94WIP Brandon Graham Show regarding Brown and Jalen Hurts went viral.

“I know 1 is trying and 11 could be a little better with how he responds to things," Graham said on Monday. "They were friends before this, but things have changed. I understand that because life happens."

Joyner believes Graham's comment may have been strategic.

"Nobody expected for that leader to do what he did—and I'm not giving him a pass either—but in some ways I think that was strategic," Joyner said on Wednesday. "Obviously for BG to go public with this and say what he said, this has been going on for awhile...and it's pretty evident to him it wasn't going to fix itself."
