A.J. Brown went viral for his apparent post on X when reacting to a frustrated Travis Kelce bumping his head coach Andy Reid on the sideline during the Super Bowl.
"If that was me I would've been kicked out the league," Brown posted, and then deleted, on X.
However, the post was then deleted, and Brown claims that he did not actually post that.
The account, which had about 260,000 followers, no longer exists and it followed up on the tweet just minutes later after the comment went viral, "This is a fake AJ brown page . I'm just a fan. I'm not trying to get him in trouble with what I say lol."
Brown's teammate Slay defended him on X, saying that was not him.
Eliot Shorr-Parks spoke about the weird social media incident.
"I got no idea what happened last night with A.J. Brown," Shorr-Parks said on Monday's 94WIP Morning Show with Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie.
"A.J. is correct for what it's worth...If that Travis Kelce incident happened with Nick Sirianni this year, we would all lose it...The A.J. stuff was tame compared to that."
Brown, 26, has a tumultuous second-season as an Eagles wide receiver after starting the season on fire, setting an NFL record with six straight 125-yard receiving games. However, during the Eagles' skid, Brown struggled and became increasingly frustrated, eventually refusing to speak to the media publicly.
