Eliot Shorr-Parks says San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will "definitely" be ranked ahead of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts in the national media NFL QB rankings this offseason.

"Yes, definitely," Shorr-Parks said on Monday's 94WIP Morning Show when asked by Joe DeCamara. "I don't even think it's debatable. Now, I don't think he was that great in the playoffs. Like, he was obviously good at the end of the NFC Championship game. I thought he had some moments last night early on, he cooled off pretty considerably after that first quarter. But we saw last year, I know Jalen was dinger a little bit in the rankings, but Jalen went from the mid 20's after 2021 to top five or six in most rankings going into last season.

"And, I also think if you polled all 32 GM's, I'd be curious to who more would take. I think both probably get dinger as a result of who their around, but I don't think it's a slam dunk that the majority of GM's would take Jalen over Brock Purdy."

Both Purdy and Hurts are now back-to-back Super Bowl runner-up QBs, both losing to Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, and the Kansas City Chiefs by three points.

Purdy, 24, put together an impressive second NFL season, going 12-4 with 4,280 passing yards, 31 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, plus two rushing touchdowns.

Hurts, 25, is coming off of a down season where he threw for 3,858 yards, 23 touchdowns, and a career-high 15 interceptions, while rushing for another 605 yards, 15 touchdowns and losing a career-high five fumbles. After a 10-1 start, Hurts and the Eagles offense stalled out and the team losing six of their final seven games, including an NFC Wildcard round blowout playoff loss at the Tampa Bay Bucs.

According to Pro Football Focus, Hurts was No. 7 and Purdy was No. 23 heading into the 2023 season.

CBS Sports had Hurts No. 3 overall and Purdy at No. 12.

NFL.com had Hurts No. 2 overall and Purdy and No. 15 in the NFL QB index on September 6th, 2023, right before the start of the season.
