The Philadelphia Eagles had their first joint practice of Training Camp on Monday against the Cleveland Browns and they did not play well.
"I thought the Browns won the day, their defense beat the offense," Eliot Shorr-Parks said on the latest episode of Go Birds. "The Eagles defense had some good plays against the Browns, but receivers were open in the secondary.
"I think the Browns came in and just like played harder than the Eagles. They were more energetic, they were celebrating more, their sideline looked more worked up."
James Seltzer made the point it's probably hard for the Eagles to get super excited about facing the Browns in a joint practice after playing in the Super Bowl just six months ago.
Myles Garrett had tremendous success against Jordan Mailata in the first practice. ESP reports that Hurts was "sacked" at least seven times.
"I thought the reason they lost on the field, is not something I'm super concerned about—they're offensive line just got dominated," Shorr-Parks said. "I just refuse to believe that a Jeff Stoutland offensive line is going to be an issue during the season."
The Eagles and Browns have their second and final joint practice today, which has been moved up to 1:45 p.m. to avoid the rain.
